Volunteer in Salem!
There are some great ways to get involved with Friends of Trees in Salem! Below are a few helpful links to get you started - we hope to see you soon!
*The Salem neighborhoods we're currently planting within include NESCA, Lansing, Highland, and NEN. If you live outside of these neighborhoods and would like to get a tree with us in the future, please contact Susie Peterson at SusieP@FriendsofTrees.org.
If you want to save the planet, meet new friends, protect the environment or improve your neighborhood, Friends of Trees has great volunteer options in Salem, Oregon. We plant from November through April, and have a few outreach activities in the summer. Most of our events run 9am - 1pm, unless otherwise noted.
We have an awesome lineup of events for our coming 2016-2017 planting season. Check out our dates and location below!
We organize public tree planting on select Saturday mornings (9am - 1pm) from November - May and we always need help planting the trees. Planting with Friends of Trees is a great way to get outside, learn how to plant trees, meet people, fulfill service learning requirements and help make the Salem region greener and healthier - all at once!
Volunteer as a group! Friends of Trees planting events are excellent ways for groups to learn team-building skills, have fun together and give back to the community. RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people - please click HERE to do so.
If you're under 18 years old, please bring a signed copy of our Youth Waiver with you to the event.
