Introducing a transformation: Friends of Trees in Eugene
In September 2011, the Eugene Tree Foundation joined forces with Friends of Trees to become our Friends of Trees Eugene office! The service area of the Eugene office is the Eugene-Springfield metro area.
Friends of Trees and Eugene Tree Foundation volunteers have planted over 3,000 trees since 1999. We hold volunteer tree plantings in our Neighborhood Tree and Green Space programs, as well as work parties to care for trees, pruning events and other stewardship events.
Friends of Trees Eugene has many different ways to get involved and is always looking for people who'd like to train to be Crew Leaders, Neighborhood Coordinators, interns and other leadership positions.
Friends of Trees Eugene will organize dozens of tree planting events this season. You can see all of them on the online Eugene planting calendar.
Volunteer planters (always) needed
We organize public tree planting events every Saturday morning from November - April and we always need help planting the trees. We provide coffee and breakfast treats to get you fueled up, as well as gloves, tools and trained volunteer guidance.
It's a great way to get outside, learn how to plant trees,
meet people, fulfill service learning requirements and help make the metro region greener and healthier - all at once!
There is no need to RSVP in advance. However, if you're under
18 years old, please bring a signed copy of our Youth Waiver
with you to the event.
We look forward to planting with you this season!
If you'd like to volunteer, please email Erik Burke or call
him at 541-632-3683 to learn more.
