Volunteer Position

Natural Area Tree-Planting Volunteer: Plant trees and shrubs in natural areas. No experience necessary!

Natural Area Crew Leader: Lead volunteer tree planters at natural area planting events. Must attend fall training.

Natural Area Maintenance Volunteer: Help with summer maintenance - invasive plant removal, tree care and site monitoring. No experience necessary!

Natural Area Care Taker: Lead summer volunteers in invasive plant removal, tree care and site monitoring. Must attend spring training.

Neighborhood Coordinator: Organize a planting in your neighborhood by supporting homeowners interested in trees. Must attend training in spring.

Neighborhood Tree-Planting Volunteer: Plant street and yard trees in neighborhoods. No experience necessary!

Neighborhood Crew Leader: Lead volunteer tree planters at neighborhood planting events. Must attend fall training.

Tree Team volunteer: Help with summer program by walking through neighborhoods to check on the health of street trees. Must attend spring training.

Community Outreach Assistant: Staff information table at events, hang flyers around town, give presentations.

Site Steward: Adopt natural area site and organize plantings and maintenance events.

Office Assistant: Assist with administrative work such as mailings, data entry, filing and other prep work

Fundraiser: Assist with fundraising, such as grant writing, phone bank, Bowlarama and other special events.

Special Events: Help with preparation, day-of and follow-up tasks for special events.

Intern: Help with a variety of tasks in the field and/or in the office to support Friends of Trees programs. Establish regular schedule of 10 to 25 hours a week for three months to a year.
