Street Tree Planting GuideMost municipalities in the Portland-Vancouver metro area maintain guidelines for street tree planting. You can view the city of Portland's guidelines here. In Portland and Vancouver, it's necessary to obtain a free permit whenever you plant trees in the public right-of-way. When you plant with Friends of Trees, we will handle all the permitting.
