By transferring appreciated stock to Friends of Trees, you can avoid the stock's capital gains tax while receiving a tax deduction for full market value.

Friends of Trees offers a variety of gift plans that pay you and/or your loved ones an income for remaining lifetimes. You also receive an immediate income tax deduction.

To make a gift of any kind to Friends of Trees is an act of generosity. To make a long-term gift—one derived from the work of a lifetime—is to make a commitment beyond measure.

Friends of Trees’ Seed the Future Society members have chosen to create a lasting legacy with Friends of Trees, in the Portland-Vancouver or Eugene-Springfield area. You can become a member by letting us know that you have named Friends of Trees in your will or estate plan.

Buying Gift Trees or Gift Groves from Friends of Trees is another great way to leave a legacy. You can memorialize a loved one's passing by giving Gift Trees or creating a memorial fund in their honor.
