Plant with Us!

Friends of Trees mobilizes thousands of volunteers each year to plant and care for city trees and urban natural areas. During our 2007-08 planting season, 2,000 volunteers gave more than 22,000 hours to Friends of Trees. Whether you work in the field or the office, whether you work for a day or a year, we welcome your contribution!

Between November and April, volunteers are welcome at all of our weekend plantings. All events are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and no experience or pre-registration is necessary. Our 2008-09 planting calendar will be posted in late summer. We also make arrangements for work parties to care for natural area sites during the summer.
