We rely upon a diverse stream of financial support to fund and implement our programs and realize our mission. Below are some programs that can provide significant donations to us throughout the year. The best part? They are most likely available for something you might already do - like shop for groceries at Fred Meyer, shop online at Amazon or give at your workplace.

Every day in April is a Friends of Trees Day! Earth Day is April 22nd and National Arbor Day is April 24th. Oregon sets aside the first full week of April to celebrate trees, Washington celebrates on April 8, and Portland sets aside the entire month.

Whole Foods 5% Day

Save your grocery shopping for Thursday, April 9th when Whole Foods Market will donate 5% of sales from all eight Portland-area stores to Friends of Trees.

Stay at one of the three Provenance Hotels in Portland -- Hotel Lucia, Hotel deLuxe and the Sentinel -- and they’ll match your $5 donation to Friends of Trees.


Knit Purl

For all you knitting nuts, Knit Purl will donate 10% of proceeds from featured Earth-friendly products to Friends of Trees from Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22 through Tuesday, April 29.

Alberta Co-op Grocery

Our friends at Alberta Co-op Grocery will be donating a portion of sales proceeds from Earth Day (Wednesday, April 22nd) through Sunday, April 26th to Friends of Trees, BARK and Rising Tide Portland. Stop in for some local, fresh and tasty food and give us a boost.

Falling Sky Brewing

Grab a pint of the new release Tree Line Pale Ale from Falling Sky Brewing Company in Eugene and the brewery will donate $1 to Friends of Treesand they’ll even donate $5 for every t-shirt they sell.

Woodlawn's Be Here Now Yoga

Every Wednesday in April, Woodlawn’s Be Here Now Yoga will donate proceeds from its noon Vinyasa for a Cause class to plant more trees!

KBOO Community Radio


KBOO is a Portland community-based institution, delivering important news, music and commentary to citizens in the region since 1972. Their Spring Membership Drive Sweepstakes runs from Wednesday, May 6 - Friday, May 16.

For all donations of at least $75 or more, KBOO will plant one tree with Friends of Trees! Last spring, KBOO planted 80 trees with us as part of this membership drive. Help them break that number this spring by donating here: http://kboo.fm/give

Contact the Center for Car Donations today and be free of your vehicle tomorrow. Vehicle pick-ups can be arranged in any U.S. state.
