Please join Friends of Trees in partnership with Portland General Electric for a restoration work party on Sat., March 1, 2008, at Kelley Creek natural area in SE Portland, SE Foster Rd and SE 159th Dr. Volunteers are also invited to help restore Beggars Tick Marsh, SE Foster Rd and SE 111th Ave near the Springwater Trail, on Feb. 16, and the Brownwood natural area at SE Foster Rd and SE 158th Ave on March 8.

All three plantings are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and have received support from the city of Portland. No experience is necessary, and people of all ages are welcome. Friends of Trees will provide gloves, tools, and guidance. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

All three plantings are part of Friends of Trees’ Natural Area Restoration program, which works to restore urban natural areas in the four-county Portland-Vancouver area.
